Our History
Definitive Security Services was established in 2025 as a fresh, forward-looking security provider built on experience, resilience, and a commitment to doing security the right way. The company name was purposefully chosen by the director to mark the rebirth of a previous organisation that operated under the same name, but which, like many businesses, was unable to survive the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our current director was closely familiar with the original Definitive Security Services and held the business in high regard, particularly for its professional standards and the way it supported clients as a trusted event security partner. When the opportunity arose to revive the name, he saw it as a chance not only to honour that legacy, but to build on it with a renewed focus, modern practices, and a broader vision for the future.
Today’s Definitive Security Services continues the journey first started in Sussex, evolving from a respected local provider into a company focused on becoming a leading event and general security partner across the UK. The principles that guided the original organisation – reliability, professionalism, and a clear duty of care to clients, staff, and the public – remain at the heart of how the company operates.
This sense of continuity and renewal is reflected in our company logo, which features a phoenix as a symbol of rebirth, resilience, and continuous improvement. The phoenix represents the evolution from the former business to the present-day Definitive Security Services: learning from the past, rising stronger from challenges, and setting higher standards in the security sector.

Our Teams
All Definitive Security Services personnel are selected for their professionalism, communication skills and integrity. Every security officer holds a valid SIA licence and all staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks, with documentation verified and monitored to ensure continuous compliance.
Before deployment, each team member completes role-specific training that exceeds industry minimum standards. For event operations, our officers undertake our in-house Event Safety Officer Training programme, which equips them to manage major incidents effectively, apply the JESIP principles used by the emergency services, and recognise and respond appropriately to conditions such as psychosis and Acute Behavioural Disturbance (ABD). This ensures that customers and staff experiencing these incidents are managed safely and professionally. In addition, we train our personnel to ensure that all customers, particularly those who are vulnerable, are appropriately safeguarded whenever required—something many of our competitors do not provide.
Our operations are overseen by experienced supervisors and a 24/7 duty manager, who remain in close contact with officers on the ground. This structure, combined with our enhanced training and vetting standards, ensures that issues are escalated quickly, incidents are managed effectively, and clients have a clear, accountable point of contact at all times.

We will continue to expand our presence across Berkshire and the wider South East and South West introducing new security services to broaden our operational foot print, we will continue to invest in our staff to ensure they continue to be highly trained officers who are dedicated to our customers success, so that every client benefits from a modern, resilient and forward-thinking security partner.
In addition to our security services, we plan to introduce three new companies by the end of 2027 to further enhance the event services we offer to our clients nationally and, eventually, internationally. By working together with our shareholders and staff, we will make the Definitive brand the go-to provider for the events industry, delivering Event Medical and Event Cleaning & Hire Services. We will also establish a training academy that will enable us not only to continually improve our staff training, but also to provide a wide variety of training services to the communities we serve.
